Topics: Lord, blessings, trust, love
I. The Lord is loving and faithful
*The Lord shows His covenantal love to undeserving sinners!
- Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to Your name give glory because of Your lovingkindness, because of Your truth (Psalm 115:1).
- Why should the nations say, "Where, now, is their God?" But our God is in the heavens; He does whatever He pleases (Psalm 115:2, 3).
II. The Lord is the one true God
* The Lord mocks the world's idols as foolishness!
- Their idols are silver and gold, the work of man?s hands. They have mouths, but they cannot speak; they have eyes, but they cannot see; they have ears, but they cannot hear; they have noses, but they cannot smell; they have hands, but they cannot feel; they have feet, but they cannot walk; they cannot make a sound with their throat. (Psalm 115:4-7).
- Those who make them will become like them, everyone who trusts in them (115:8).
III. The Lord is worthy of your trust
* The Lord desires to help those who trust in Him!
- Their idols are silver and gold, the work of man's hands.
IV. The Lord remembers and blesses
* The Lord values and enjoys blessing His precious children!
- The Lord has been mindful of us; He will bless us; He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron. He will bless those who fear the Lord, the small together with the great. May the Lord give you increase, you and your children. May you be blessed of the Lord, Maker of heaven and earth (Psalm 115:12?15).
- The heavens are the heavens of the Lord, but the earth He has given to the sons of men. The dead do not praise the Lord, nor do any who go down into silence; but as for us, we will bless the Lord from this time forth and forever. Praise the Lord! (Psalm 115:16-18).

Life group flow and discussion questions
To God be the Glory
An important Guideline of Life Groups: Recognize the humans tend to want glory for themselves. Make sure that everyone in your Life Group guards against self-glory and seeks to honor God for who He is (Isaiah 42:8; 48:11).
Getting Started:
- When you are complimented for your spiritual character, how do you direct the glory to the Lord without appearing unappreciative?
- What are some common idols in our culture that people have become like because it's what they worship?
Discussing Truths:
- How can we develop the mindset of giving God the glory in all we do (1 Corinthians 10:31)?
- In what ways is the simplest person who worships the Lord wiser than the wisest person who worships worthless substitutes? How are people like what they worship?
- In your daily life, do you actually trust the Lord: if so - in what ways, if not - why not?
- Do you believe that you are precious to the Lord?
- What are some ways that the Lord has blessed you and your children?
- How are the heavens telling of the glory of God (Psalm 19:1)?
- Do you recognize that God remembers your work and love which you have shown toward His name (Hebrews 6:10)? What kind of reward do you anticipate?
Now What? Application:
- Read the lyrics of "My Tribute, to God be the glory" and pray that your life will be pleasing to the Lord. Also, thank the Lord for His work in your salvation!
- Will you join Moses in praying: "I pray You, show me Your glory!" (Exodus 33:18-23)?
