"Pray, then, in this way: 'Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name'" (Matthew 6:9).
For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!" The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him(Romans 8:14-17).
II. focused on God's glory
"Pray, then, in this way: 'Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name': (Matthew 6:9).
"I am the LORD, that is My name; I will not give My glory to another, nor My praise to graven images" (Isaiah 42:8).
Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength. Ascribe to the LORD the glory of His name; bring an offering and come into His courts. Worship the LORD in holy attire; tremble before Him, all the earth (Psalm 96:7-9).
III. Submitted to God's will
"'Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven'" (Matthew 6:10).
And He *said to them, "My soul is deeply grieved to the point of death; remain here and keep watch." And He went a little beyond them, and fell to the ground and began to pray that if it were possible, the hour might pass Him by. And He was saying, "Abba! Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will" (Mark 14:34-36).
