I. Stand Firm!
- I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; Galatians 1:6.
- Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong 1 Corinthians 13:16.
- For when Solomon was old, his wives turned his heart away after other gods; and his heart was not wholly devoted to the Lord his God, as the heart of David his father had been 1 Kings 11:4.(see also 1 Kings Ch. 1-10, 11:1-4).
II. Distorted Gospels!
- Which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ Galatians 1:7.
- Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me" John 14:6.
- But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! Galatians 1:8.
- As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed! Galatians 1:9.
- Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures1 Corinthians 15:1-4.
- See also Ephesians 2:1-9.
III. People Pleaser or Bond-Servant of Christ?
- For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.
- Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31.
- Nevertheless many even of the rulers believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they were not confessing Him, for fear that they would be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the approval of men rather than the approval of God John 12:42-43.
- See Ephesians 2.

Life group flow and discussion questions
"One Gospel"
An important Guideline of Life Groups: Discuss in your Life Group the importance of living in the freedom of the gospel and how you do that on a daily basis.
Getting Started:
- In light of Galatians 5:13 how are you using your freedom? as an opportunity for the flesh or as an opportunity to serve one another? Explain.
Discussing Truths:
- What are some other "gospels" that are preached today?
- How do you personally test to make sure what is taught is true? (See Acts 17)
- Does hearing of people leaving the faith hurt your heart as it does the Apostle Paul's?
- Does your faith produce fruit? (Galatians 5:22-23)
- Are you a people pleaser or a bondservant of God?
Now What? Application:
- How can you adjust your focus from the praise of man to the praise of God?
